When I first saw this fawn I was about 12 ft away on a path, she was peeking out through the prickley pear cactus. I took out my camera and just started talking to her. I moved closer and closer til I was about 7 feet away from her, snapping my camera all the while, this is one of the last photos I was able to snap before she ran away. I had a 300mm macro lens on my camera at the time so I was fairly close to her. When she ran off I thanked her for posing. Yes, silly me I talk to the animals.

The mother was no where to be seen. It worried me a bit. I will be going back to the spot today. I am hoping this fawn is not an orphan

Not an orphan she was with her mamma this morning. I left them alone well when it came to the camera. I did stary and watch them a bit.

I fell in love with this little one, I wanted to much to go up and hug it.

She/He was very sweet, I was able to capture about 20 images, before it ran off.
