My Take on an animated style New 52 Superman, originally I was going to use this design but I truely never happy with this design so I redrew him!! I hope you like my take on him!!*Superman belongs to DC Comics!!

i think someone seriously needs to consider doing a new superman animated series, as much as i love batman, his had plenty of animations, while superman appears to be pretty underrated.

New 52 is a large reboot of the entire DC universe that happened back in 2011. Almost every single character, if not EVERY character, was completely redesigned. I believe the name refers to the 52 new DC titles.
The reboot was significant because reset each comic back to issue 1. So there are technically two Action Comics No. 1 now.... completely different stories.

i actually like this design. Usually I don't like it when people change the original costume to something very different like no red tights, but I'm getting more open minded now. Times are changing.

This new version is the best one.
I think the colors and the design looks a lot better than in the old one. Not to mention, I like how the cape is more fluid in this one and that the hairstyle sort of gives Superman a less "yuppy, uptight" vibe.
All around....Awesome job!

Pretty good but I don't think I'll ever get used to Superman without the Red undies, honestly I thought they balanced the colors of the costume, and the new costume is far too busy with all the lines and stuff. but that's Jim Lee's fault not yours.
Really don't get what's with all the V-necks in his designs, Supes, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern all have them.
O and I concur with the earlier poster that the hair was better in the old version.

honestly bro, i like your first run better. don't like his hair cut in this one at all, and because of your color treatment it seems really flat in comparison.
for me, i like seeing superman really clean cut. i feel that it lends to the characters perfect 'model' of our human form. he is after all SUPERman. also, your earlier effort is one of the first takes on this costume i really ever enjoyed. also because it was so crisp. ESPECIALLY how you handled the breaks in the cape around his shoulders. i bring that up because the other thing i like to keep in mind when drawing supes is that he is(imo) a sort of alien soldier. its a perspective that helps when i'm redesigning. because of that, i really enjoyed the sheen he had in the colors the last time around. i think it helps lend to his sense of invulnerability. you wanna look at that dude, and immediately feel like you can't fuck with him. that shine made him feel armored in a way

wow is that some critique Lol yeah I was looking at both of my takes on Superman and I totatly I agree with you the older version is better in the way that it demonstrates everything that defines Superman my newer version does look dull in comparison. I guess it was one of those things when your designing a character sometimes you don't see the good in the drawing so posting it and getting feedback helps a great deal in making sure the drawing works, Thanks again I really appreciate it and Happy New Year Bro!!
