Those are actually called "crepes"

Looks just like my own white gerbil. Adorable! Love the setting as well, with the reds and the whites.

Actually, we call them "pannkaka" in sweden which is closer to "pancake" don't you think? It's french to call them "crepes".
So this was a grammar nazi fail (if you don't know what a grammar nazi is google it )

...It has nothing to do with grammar. A pancake is this: [link] - just because your wording resembles "pancake" does not mean it is a pancake. Pan. Cake. A cake done in a pan. Pancakes are soft, mushy and thick. In spanish we call crepes "panqueques" but that doesn't mean they're pancakes, it means your country and mine got their names wrong.

Seriously what you're saying is pretty much "Tree" means "Tres" because "Tres" (3 in spanish) resembles the word "tree" much more than "arbol" (tree in Spanish). It's nonsensical.

But it is called pancake in english. I don't understand what you're saying

Anyway, I realised about an hour later that grammar nazi was the wrong word

In europe we call them pancakes, in england too, usa screwed it all up with their "american pancakes".
It's all explained here, [link]

You can't say that those are actually called crepes, you've probably heard this from usa.
In england they call that in the picture "pancake", where they speak english, we use the english word.

My family calls them German Pancakes because this is how my grandmother has always made them and she's German.
