This is my New Year's dragon, just finished him seconds before midnight! Behold #5, a silver dragon, and currently one of my favorites. He'll look a lot better once colored, and the horns will be a bit easier to see, but in the meantime here's the original sketch, enjoy!Related content

My job is to provide good artwork to you, the viewer. Its the same job any artist has, and I think detail is important because it adds to the composition and makes it more convincing. Granted there's alot of improvement I can make to become a better artist, but for now I at least pride myself with the effort I put into detail.

heh, yea, it took a while to decide on the scales for this one, and just as long to draw them all out. One of my friends jokes that it'd be quite the task to count all the scales out, and I agree

well you see thats the challenge, you need to learn how to draw even when sleeping, just in case! (jk)
Yea, it generally takes a few hours or so to draw one of them out, and then a few more to color

well sometimes you just need to take a break from them and come back later. That helps you recollect yourself and do a better job when you come back to it

i don't have the patience to do that! XD i barely have enough for the stuff i do do! XD i usually don't spend more than an hour or two on my drawings
