Graphite, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 ", trading card sized drawing of Karen O, from the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. This is a birthday gift forI know this has flaws...trust me, I know. I'm really bummed about that. However, I worked quite some time trying to fix them, but I think the limited size of the ATC canvas poses a problem for me when drawing detailed portraits. ( I like to draw a picture that I can fit into a birthday card, lol ).
I needed to have this done by today, so hopefully, this will be good enough.

Oh no, sorry. My newest drawing was this one for my cousin, and even this one was forced...if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if this happens to you or not, but I go through blocks, ruts, dry spells or whatever you can call it...and usually, if I try to draw when I'm not feeling it, it doesn't turn out too well.
I have probably at least 7-10 other drawings started, but not completed. That is another bad habit of mine. It's not that they were turning out bad or anything ( although, that has happened in the past)....it's just that I seem to lose interest or something. I really need to get back into the mood to draw. I also need a bit more free time

I get a lot of those dry spells too.
But i've been geting it a lot more than
usual lately, which explains why I have not made any new pics in several weeks.(sobs)
But at laest I have a lot of art ideas when I do get back in the groove.(yes, I said groove)
