The reflection is awesome. Possibly you could try it a bit darker, but it looks so good now I wouldnt worry.

I love the reflection, and I love the black background, but I wonder how it would look with a shiny gradient for the background?

black isn't the best colour for background so thats where the went

oh, and i think the very bottom tip of the leaf is overlapping its reflection. yeah.

the reflection is good, but i think it needs a slight gaussan blur and maybe get stretched vertically for a little distortion and a greater sense of distance

I like what you've done here, but there's a lot that can be added to this.

I think you should keep the reflection because it looks awesome. It reminds me of a reflection off water (hint hint?).
I think you should also add some texture/details on the butterfly's body.

The background could be a little brighter but I don't really mind.

Awesome dude, I'd use a gradient for the background, it gives reflections more of a shiny look, if you lose the reflection, keep the background black, if you decide to keep the reflection, lighten the background.

i's make the background a dark blue or green...whichever looks best, i'm not a fan of the black
