This feather measures 28cm. I just love the stripes!

They indeed are kick-ass birds of prey! This is 100% certain a tail feather though, and not a secondary

I always try to find images of the bird; but it can be a bit hard to figure out where the feather is positioned.Β

It's all in the shape of the thing: see how it curves to the right and then, at the end, ever so slightly back to the left? Diagnostic of a tail feather; a secondary is completely bent towards the body of the bird, so would exclusively, and more strongly, curve to the right (or left, of course, depending on what wing it is from)
