shmuppy lil wallie i had posted before (in the form of a 15 minute speedypaint), but went back & tossed another hour into it...maybe i should have laid off the airbrush tool

Gradius (especially the third one), is one of the few shooters that really frustrated the heck outa me. To battle as hard as one does, to fight a final boss the shoots marshmellows, then blows itself up without you pressing a trigger. "WTF?" came to mind quite quickly. A nice gallery you have, I especially like your "Philasoma" Image aswell.

oh gawd, thats better than i can say.. i finally got GIII (as part of the PS2 g3/4 pack) and g3 spanked me stupid. I really wish i had more time to play it beyond the 3rd stage, and my own PS2 so i could play it period (i have to bum my bf's PS)
and thanks. I don;t know if you ever got to play Philosoma (it was a 2st generation PS1 game), but it was pretty dang good, it told the storyline with a series of transisitonal cimematics that took you from one view to another (it had areas where the view was from overhead, horizontal, underhead, pseudo 1st person (like space harrier), and isometric) the ship is one of my all time favorite designs

Yaa, i have played Philosoma. I did enjoy it, though it was just a little too dark for me at the time (i was heavy into Panzer Dragoon on saturn back then and still Raiden DX at the arcades). So while i enjoyed it, i don't think from memory i got heavily into it. I did remember thinking it was really different from anything i had played up till then, though probably a little short. Wouldn't mind getting back into it though. My favourite all time shmup on the PS1 was "G-Darius". i loved all aspects from the graphics to the music to the gameplay. It was marvelous ;D.

Ok ok....what exactly is this shmup stuff? I've been trying to figure that out for a while...and didn't want to seem slow and ask. Heh...cuz I was looking at your stuff on your personal site and saw a lot about that. 
Oh,and this wall paper is nice. I think using the airbrush worked...gives it balance. =3
