yes... his glasses are indeed taped to his nose. they kept falling off otherwise.

something i'd been considering for a while is that ezra has an older brother; his name is matthew, and like most of his family, he's a golden snub-nosed monkey. (i once showed my mom a picture of golden snub-nosed monkeys and her immediate reaction was "oh!! the little blue faces!" and i think about that a lot)

i feel like matthew is going to be a pretty minor character, so i'll pretty much see what i do with him as i continue to work on this series, but i do know that he's got a bit of a "foolish/responsible" dynamic going on with ezra. there are arguments on both sides to be made about who's the more responsible one, and who's the one that's more foolish.

also, he's married, and he has a son (who's constantly asking questions that matthew is sometimes hesitant to answer). ezra, on the other hand, believes that kids are cool as long as you can still hand them back to the parents. honestly... fair enough

to an extent, i consider matthew to be a redesign/reimagining of a character i used to have back in 2017/2018, although that version of matthew was a high school-aged kid. i've also gotten better at drawing primates since then.
