Y'all excited for Project 2017? I am!Whew, shading debris and trash and smoke and twin-tailed foxes is harder than it looks! lol I hope y'all enjoy the result, this is one of the few instances where I'm genuinely proud of how the picture came out. Anyway, please enjoy a happy little picture of a fox preparing to kick some robo-butt! Β

Thanks a bunch! While I did get some enjoyment out of Forces, I have to agree that it was pretty mediocre. I'm probably not buying another one until they get their storytelling sorted out... I can't stand the writing of the new games, unfortunately.

I'm doing a reboot project of it because it was such a disappointment for me. It's a fan game in a semi soft rebooted canon, basically taking the skeleton of forces and morphing and expanding on it. An engine is currently being worked on, but assets for it have started back to the beginning of the year.Β

Just don't spread it around too much, since the thing hasn't been too publicized yet. Posted a few semi outdated teasers on my DA. You can follow me if you wanna keep up, but hoping to get a demo out for SAGE 2019. Looking at the drawing again as well, tails seems to have a bit too round a head, and his forehead is huge. Sure these may just be issues with this drawing though.Β

It's because of a primitive technique I used back in the day, as I just used the "lazy brush" tool to get the smooth lines. His body and shoes are also wildly out of proportion. These issues were rectified over time but in this case I had progressed too far with the coloration to correct the proportions. It's a good observation and an issue I hope I have fixed by now with my new works.
Understood about the project, so I hope you can get that demo ready in time for SAGE! I do look forward to seeing it.

I read some of your journal entries; how's life in the Army? I was in Civil Air Patrol for some time and learned tons about life-saving and search and rescue operations. And drill. We did lots of that too. Lol
But that's an Auxiliary of the Air Force, so we aren't training to see combat. You're doing the real deal, and I'm interested in what that's like!

I enjoyed my time in CAP, getting a glimpse of the Air Force life, but a military career just isn't for me. I'm like you in that I'd rather spend time with my art! Lol But should the need arise, I'll do my part to serve. My hope is it doesn't come to that any time soon.

I really like this! The atmosphere looks amazing and Tails seems to be very determinated. I also like the shading here. The only thing I don't understand is why he looks so thin.

I hope so too. After all, why should anyone care about the characters or the conflict unless the stakes are high? That's something we've kinda been missing with previous titles, and I hope Sonic Team can make a great experience coupled with a compelling storyline. Looks like they're doing that, and I have my reasons for being optomistic!
