I'd like a Find option for my home and for my brain.

oh, that would be convenient... have to go to the keyboard for that, no hot buttons... sorry

i guess by playing forward we move out of the darkness into the light but stop just before the unknown edge. by going back we seek to illuminate the darkness even for a moment before the lines between pause and stop bleed together.
I like the cool darkness and the warm light of the value scale, too- makes play/pause cold and stop warm and glowing. and oddly where the eye goes first...

no, the edge of the unknown is just that, an unknown. fast forwarding off of it could be like launching a jet off an airship or gliding like sinbad off the edge of the world.
I don't usually fast forward them, if they're worth my time, i rewind them and write down the quotes or something. i'm a dork, i know. he he is it worth it to some folks to go as far as they can just for the idea of getting there, that being the goal, or maybe the goal is getting lost, somewhere unknown, and finding a way back? getting stuck wouldn't be so bad i guess, you have no where to go but forward. at least you have momentum

the pause and the stop buttons are both square shapes. the only difference is a tiny line missing from the pause. = vs *can't find a square making button on her keyboard* pausing is a temporary stop, and stop is a permanent pause. and sometimes pausing is no different than stopping, it can break a sequence just the same. and looking at the line that makes the difference between a pause and a stop isn't always immediately apparent.

well, that's not entirely bad is it? being able to focus on a single thing, you forget to listen/view to the rest. besides, it kept you occupied for a bit didn't it? ; p

do we (or should i say must we) stop the forward button at the edge of the known? have you never fast forwarded a movie not previously seen? then again there comes some vague knowledge of the material passed over, but living lightly and breezing thru the scenery you experience so little, I would imagine it all as a white blur...
and what do you mean by the blur of pause and stop? especially when in a previous time.

I hadnt even noticed the gradiation... it seems to make my eye jump back and forth, deciding (and failing) where to rest...

that would be veeeery nice, only problem- i'd prolly go around pushing everyone's buttons (CXD like normal) and screw really important things up... like, say, the mezozoic era....

*grimace* geez, you think after a million years or so people would calm down about that whole stepping-on-the-slimy-thing-crawling-out -of-the-water incident....

if only i could rewind and get all my studio work done instead of partying...

well, i suppose i wouldn't have all my amusing run-ins with the po-po if i had been doing my studio stuff...

ya, i think a life button would kick a whole lotta ass. muchos kudos.

yes, exactly.

you ever play the computer game the sims?

you can fast forward time to go by faster...and after i play that game for a while, sometimes I try to fast forward life. It's weird.
