I love the contrast in the background ( seed pods? ) and the subtle colors, although..the contrast in the foreground pods looks a bit harsh. (just the line between shadow and light) Overall a very striking, beautiful photograph.

Very nice capture. It reminds me of when I go out on a walk or something, and don't bring my camera, and see the coolest flower or bug for the perfect photograph. The photo also seems to bring a strange feeling of eerie beauty, an indescribable feeling, which is unsettling yet, exciting. The focus of the photo is truly exceptional, it's perfect. The pose of the butterfly really caught my eye, too. I do think, though, that color can be brought into this photo more. If the butterfly had bright color on it, you should display the bright color, to lift the mood a little. Also, you could try singling out a color in the photograph, or using different subtle tones of color. I know you couldn't do anything about it, but, personally, i think the butterfly should be moved up closer in the shot, and maybe convey a little more action. Did you fill in that background? or did you focus it so to be like that? Do you know what type of butterfly that is? I think the title could have been a little more creative, but, overall nice work

haha, i took quite a few. It was being a great model, it would fly away if I got too close, but never left the back yard, giving me great new perspectives.

A beautiful shot. It's as though the butterfly is pondering flight. The lack of color just emphasizes the rest of the photograph. The title does little to describe how awesome this photo is.

haha, yeah, I couldn't really think of a title. It was my firts butterfly shot so i decided to go the simple naming option. But since then, I have taken quite a few more shots, and have gotten quite creative with them
