Description I bought the new Aaron Blaise lessons about wolves, so here's a start to practice...not totally satisfied, but it's a start

One thing i have to get out there before I look at this properly is the Wolf's expression.

Like... That's the kinda face that just says "Who the hell lets their four year old little girl walk all alone into a dangerous forest with absolutely no one to protect her from the dangerous creatures in the woods? That's bad parenting man"

Seriously, he looks as if he's thinking "Wow... I kinda don't wanna eat this kid if this is the sort of negligent parenting I'm seeing nowadays"

XD But anyway, rambling aside, despite your dissatisfaction I think the wolf itself looks pretty nice all things considered.

While its expression is more neutral and to some may even look a little more concerned for the kid's safety the body shape looks fantastic! Its bony, but the unkempt fur and the yellow Xehanort eyes the wolf has give it an air of danger despite its body language and expression still remaining neutral for the time being. Not to mention the colours used on the wolf give it a fantastic meld of white, gray and black which really compliment the creature's features, adding to the already nicely detailed design of the wolf itself.

As for the kid (screw it I'm just gonna call her Ruby for now) while her facial expression remains hidden, her size and lack of abject fear of "HOLY F#CK ! A WOLF!!! I'M GETTING THE F#CK OUTTA HERE!!!" shows that she's at a very young age (I speculate from 4-6 years old) and at that age her view of the world is much more innocent, the age where she wouldn't question the abject negligence of her Mother's orders of

"Hey sweetie? You know that dangerous forest over there. Well I want you to go all alone, carrying this picnic basket full of tasty treats that will attract wild animals and go all the way to your Grandmother's house far away from my supervision... Send her my love will ya. Okay thanks Sweetie" ^^

So naturally when she encounters the wolf she's not running in fear but in a way thinking she's meeting a new friend, her life experience so limited that she simply has no way of knowing about the real life context of how a wolf would like to hunt her.

I like it for adding a more interesting dynamic for those who love to speculate as it could be seen as the wolf trying to discern why this tiny little human isn't afraid of him. : ) It gives the artwork much less of a sinister vibe compared to the original tale.

Does the wolf let Ruby go? Does it let her live for not only to eat her later? Or (as I like to interpret) Ruby instead decides to share some of her treats with the wolf simply because being the little sweetie she is, she learns that sharing with friends is a good thing because it shows that you love them X3

I can understand why you wouldn't be entirely satisfied with it, but even here you've created a nice little twist to the Red Riding Hood tale that I think really makes for a very malleable artwork to interpret based upon the wolf's expression, even if things didn't entirely go according to plan.

Fantastic work Giulia. : )

thanks! well yeah I too prefer your third option...better share treats with the wolf, maybe he isn't so bad after all....the original tale is too creepy and sinister, so I much prefer your interpretation

XD And now what was a grim fairy tale about a crossdressing wolf and negligent parenting instead becomes a heartwarming story about the importance of sharing and how one's life experience is contextualized not by word of mouth but by a compassionate heart. : D Fantastic!
