totes could be a transforming robot. like nothing super fancy, but drop the back part into legs and disconect the wings into arms.

I gotta admit I would HATE to face that thing in a dogfight but I do have a few critiques if I may:
1: The red eyes are...kinda...cliche. If it's only piloted by elite warriors shouldn't their Kills and status be enough to make them scary?
2: For being an ELITE craft it does have some weaknesses from what I can see. First how well can the pilot see out of the cockpit? It looks like it's covered in armor. Next it only has 6 missiles so if your enemy has more than you, eventually you're gonna go down in long range. Finally what's the armor like? It's carrying 4 different weapons so it must be a pretty light aircraft and that means thinner armor.
Just my opinions though. It still looks great

Thanks for the critique, I love it when people take the time to state their honest opinion in a polite way, rather than blindly praising everything I make in as few words as possible...I almost think that's worse than faving and running. But I am getting besides my point. Anyways time to answer your critique.
1. I have actually not heard other people tell me the red eyes are cliched, nor have I seen it done before all that much on aircraft you actually pilot. I've seen it done on robots but that's about it. So the red eyes are staying, even if I do appreciate hearing your opinion, and I generally do try to stay away from cliches. But I can't avoid every single one just to make other people happy, I gotta make sure I am happy with it myself first
2. With regards to the cockpit not being made of glass, again it's the eyes. They are cameras/sensors that feed real-time visual information (along with other sensors placed all around the ship) into the cockpit, which has a panoramic monitor inside instead of a conventional glass canopy...in this regard it is more similar to an anime mecha than it is to a conventional fighter aircraft. I mean sure, it DOES probably render the ship vulnerable to EMP attacks knocking out all visual relay information, but at the same time it offers far greater protection from most attacks. The "six missiles" thing was an arbitrary number, I can easily give it more missiles when I made the final version, although missiles are not its main weapon, the remote attack drones and resonance cannons are. Finally, its armor is pretty thick, but it's also a light, composite material...the whole craft is more comparable to a flying tank than it is to a conventional aircraft. It's also basically powered by a miniature nuclear reactor, giving it far unsurpassed power output for its engines and lift system, allowing it to be a little heavier. Although it really doesn't rely all that much on physical armor, because its main defensive measure is an electro-reactive energy shield that vaporizes most kinetic projectiles on impact, but does little to stop energy weapons. And that's basically the whole thing.
I will probably further refine this design later on, with added input from you and other people who critique it.

So Energy weapons are it's weakness...and wait...a NUCLEAR reactor?? What if it gets damaged? Won't the whole thing go up in a mushroom cloud?

Well, think of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers...as far as I know it, they don't go up in a mushroom cloud when they are sunk. I'd imagine this aircraft would be no different.

I like the shapes and colour scheme. The silhouette would be perfect in a shmup. I might either refine the lines further or shrink the image a little.

Wow, it's an honor receiving a critique from the likes of you...thanks so much
Yeah, I am very proud of the overall shape of this design, and yes it was inspired, in part, by the ships/planes in shmups, along with Y. Shinkawa's designs for Metal Gear. And you like the color scheme? Cool, yeah it's supposed to have an eerie, stealth-type appearance. I fully intend to refine the lines eventually (when I get the time to work on this again, I am very busy,) as this is just a rough, hasty sketch, mostly to brainstorm ideas. Thanks for your input.

Shweet! I take it I have done my job well then. You see, my friend told me the original design for this craft didn't look menacing enough (he said it looked like "a cartoon fish"...lolwtf) but he also gave me some suggestions for making it look more visually impressive and more befitting for a badass elite villain's ship. I followed his suggestions here and presto, here's my semifinal draft. Glad you like it.

Well actually, I do plan on doing that. The Xandu need to have many more combat vehicles designed for them, and I think my next project (after I refine this design, finalize it and draw it from different angles as well) is the main battle tank that they use, which I initially designed all the way back in 2011 but I feel like it badly needs a redesign.

Very nice, you should also look into full spaceships like cruisers and frigates, ect as a sort of HQ for the smallwer craft.

I already have one design for a Xandu space destroyer, the Patmos-class. Although you have to understand that in my universe there is less of a focus on space combat and colonization, and more of a focus on warfare and combat within a planet's atmosphere. Thus the Xandu (and most other factions of mine) mostly use conventional naval warships as well as less-conventional flying warships and aircraft carriers, with a very minimal use of space battleships. Mostly space warships are for patrolling the orbital positions of a planet, deploying units anywhere on that world via orbital drop insertion, and ferrying personnel and supplies between the planet, its moon and any other colonies or planets that may be in that star system. Also, very few fighter craft are space capable, as most air combat takes place in an atmosphere.
This is because my universe is a bit of an alternate history where most habitable planets comparable to Earth in terms of gravity and atmosphere had been seeded with interdimensional portals by an ancient godlike race of aliens, thus creating a network of most Earthlike planets in the Milky Way galaxy that can be accessed and colonized by means of conventional seagoing vessels and aircraft, and in some cases even land vehicles or on foot (if a given portal is on land.) Thus, in this world space colonization took place many hundreds or even thousands of years in the past, and it's been a staple of my various races and factions ever since. So for that reason FTL travel is largely unneeded, although a few factions have experimented with FTL warp drives in order to access other planets independently of the portal network, because certain portals may be controlled and regulated by local governments or something.

That's actually a good basis for a series of stories, keep on going with that idea it's very well thought out and descriptive.

Sweet...yes, sleek, elegant and sinister are what I was going for here. Now you make me wish I would have drawn in what one of the remote attack drones looks like. Oh well. The only problem with this design is I couldn't figure out anywhere to put the twin-linked, turret-mounted energy cannons on either side of the fuselage. The old design had them in plain view, but I don't wanna go back to the old design, not after how far I've come. I hope I'll figure something out.
Anyways, can you tell I was inspired a bit by Yoji Shinkawa's designs? Y. Shinkawa does the concept work for Hideo Kojima's games, most notably Metal Gear Solid but also Zone of the Enders. I am a big fan of his aesthetic, especially for MGS, I find him very inspiring.
