How did you even use the tape to do that insanely amazing job!?

Apply lateraly from the bottom of one side. Cut to shape with an E-acto or the like, being carefull of the shoes.
Two layers- that way it's thick enough to hide the overlap.
Also I am insanely gifted with tape. ^_~
