It's not drawn yet but it's more or less written.
For those of you who are still under the impression that Athens was a little weak crybaby who ran to Sparta for help every time he had a problem and was a peace-loving and super moral intellectual..... prepare to have your impressions shattered! >:3
Seriously why isn't this common knowledge there are scary parallels to current events am I the only one who notices.

Oh Athens (well you acting as Athens) on formspring talked about this, so were not even to the part where he changes the headquarters to Athens right? Oh what's this about parallels to current events? Also he doesn't really seem to be the whole peace-loving and super-moral intellectual ever in your comics, anyways.

What I meant was I ruined the modern conception of Ancient Athens, not what he actually did. XD I'm just bringing it to the forefront since most people associate Athens with enlightenment and democracy over everything else. XD

Yessss, the Delian League! I remember learning about it way back in middle school and thinking it was fascinating, but goodness knows I could do with a refresher course some 8 years later! And, heh, I was one of the people under that assumption about Athens until I read your artist's comment... so it's time for some SRS learnin'!

For some reason I never remember talking about it before university. I might have, but then again it would have been elementary for me (my middle school experience... well, it's a wonder I got out of their with my brain intact. X_x)

XD Middle school is kind of like socially approved torture that everyone has to go through. >.> Yeah, I've been learning all sorts of weird things they gloss over in non-university history courses... like how involved people other than the English (and maybe the French) were in forming the U.S. and what the Hundred Years War was actually about!
Heh, yeah, I mean you make him a pretty good jerk. I just guess I saw him as a pretty ineffectual, overly intellectual jerk? XD (And I think my goal is to ruin Rome's... seriously, when I start posting fics-which requires me to be way less lazy and finish some, haha-I'm gonna start ripping into him. >.< All empires are awful, even Grandpa Rome! Yeeah... my last two thirds of middle school were in a backwards rural school so it wasn't very fun at all. >>
Hahaha, I lived in the States but I *coughescaped* moved back to Canada just before I had to take American history (I had done it in elementary school there too and I was... kind of surprised Canada- or at least "British North America" wasn't mentioned at all. I'm taking Canadian History and ALL we talk about is Americans coming up and "invading" Canada. We're in the 1920s and the mounties came down to Winnipeg (which isn't terribly close to the US border) under the pretext of making sure "American Bolsheviks" weren't sneaking up to Canada. XD
Hahaha, yeah, he's an interesting character and obviously one of my favourites. Sometimes I find him too easy to write (as in I must have a pretty large ego myself, hmm...)
Haha, I'm excited to hear about that. Of course I have my own little scholarly bias about Rome since I tend to read a lot more about the Greeks and how they were taken over... and I watch Horrible Histories a bit too much. XD I had comics about Rome I was doing to study for my Classics class (That's how Athens and Sparta Adventures got started) but they were really hard for me since it was basically him switching between t-shirts labelled "Plebs" and "Patricians" arguing with a box labelled "Senate". XD I was rushed then of course so it would be interesting to explore him as a personification. He's a mess. XD

Ahahahaha yeeeeah we have terrible public education down here. >.> I have no idea why our history is so short-sighted and self-centric either. :< Also lulz, oh, the 20's, the beginning of everyone in the world losing their minds. Seriously, the Red Scare was... insane. Just insane. From a historical POV it almost makes sense!

I want to see your crazy Rome Plebs/Patricians comic! And yes, he's such a mess, lol. I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who doodles Hetalia to help themselves study! All over my notes from last semester I have France and England and Spain and America (guess what continent's development I was studying! That's right, North America). My favorite by far is my little doodle explaining why France had more consistent native allies than England for a while there: England is socially awkward, i.e. didn't get the gift-giving system. XD
