This is where I lost respect for the Guitar Hero franchise; making people look absolutely fucking ridiculous *not to mention worsening the hand cramps* playing the Guitar Hero game on a Nintendo DS.It was bad enough when we had #3 with its unnecessarily high difficulty slope to alienate half the people....or encourage all of the "harhar I'm so great at a guitar game by playing THIS FAST WITH MY FINGERS DUR HUR" crap.
No. This is where I drew the line and went to Rock Band, which I feel is more respectful.
Not only that....
THIS is what true rockers like Elvis died for...? To have their music botched up and/or slapped onto a game so ANYONE who plays it thinks they're cool?
I don't know. Like I have said multiple times, I am a music lover *mostly a rocker* and I am very picky about my choices concerning...musical things.

I have a Guitar hero game for my DS, I don't play it much anymore since I binged and unlocked everything. I mostly play it on my Xbox (World Tour) or the first one I have on my PlayStation 2.

So true, while World Tour and 5 aren't as bad as 3. Activision has really milked, train-wrecked, and ruined the Guitar Hero franchise. I consider the Rock Band games to be the true successors of GH 1, 2 and 80s.

Rock Band is really the true successor to Guitar Hero. Ever since #3 the fucking series has been milked more than anything else I know in the short time Activision has owned it.
I hate it because I honestly used to respect it. Hell, recently I almost HAD a reason to buy GH 5 due to the Gorillaz being on the game. When I found out the very same songs I wanted were on Rock Band, I no longer had a reason to own GH 5. Pretty funny if you ask me.

All the increased hand-cramps compared to the regular PS2/next gen versions is enough to deter me away from it. Also I don't like the idea of having to buy an entirely new game just to get more tracks unlike how Nintendo has their versions for all the music games.
Also, because of the millions of people saying how the DS version "doesn't feel like you're playing an actual guitar at all" compared to the real versions....yup. That sold me.

My problem is that you look ridiculous playing it, it's actually sorta HARD to play the game that you have to strum ALONG the screen to register playing a note on the game, and that nobody can avoid the hand cramps with how it's assembled.

How do you play guitar hero on a DS...I own a DS (even though my gf has had it for the past 9 months)...I don't see how it can be done. Isn't a guitar thingy needed?

You need this...clip-on thing that goes into the GBA slot that's really just the 4 frets *not 5* from any Guitar Hero controller...and a *get this* guitar pick-like stylus to "strum" on the screen.

Because if there's anything you need, it's ANOTHER stylus made JUST for your game to clutter your possible collection of other styluses for having OTHER Nintendo DS games.
