You found happiness in your new dress
You'll only let it touch your skin once, a caress
Maybe not, but at least it'll be one of the few times
You haven't made a mess of yourself
In a dress (a poignant observation that isn't an observation)
He stood still as he watched you undress
I stood by the window and watched your reflection
Soft material sliding off your back, you took off
Your dress (and again eyelids blink. at glass, slowly)
I think to myself, what's apathy
When you can't even manage to apathise anarchy
Or inner turmoil, wherever that be (your mind)
So says this boy from school (i was out of time)
No modern day Shakepeare's saving grace
Can entirely, successfully, completely erase
Memories scarred and mistakes traced
Across grey matter splattered all over your place
But with this lil' knife I'll softly unlace
Your insides to outsides (so they won't go to waste)
And when I'm done, I'll come inside (but never replace)
For I am just a dot
A pimple on your face.
