röt, draemoni incarnate of decay; a meek, vain, exploitive sycophant. in all aspects of life is inexorably drawn to that which is ready to rot: broken homes, broken bodies, broken people and all that is acrid and ripe for decay. a plodding, insidious parasite that squeezes into the cracks and works below the surface until one day the foundation crumbles. as ever a part of the cycle, röt's nature provides the nourishment for growth and new beginnings, but not for that which he has fed upon. often distressed by his inability to maintain stability, much less growth, and resist his nature, he falls into his own black mental deterioration when his own nature turns upon his body.

holy shit, the details. the neverending details and the inability to resist the urge to make more and more and more. still, i am finding a method and sense in the way i paint and approaching it more and more as a composition. now you know why i posted a shitty mushroom study. his horns are actually a fungus known as 'dead man's fingers' (Xylaria polymorpha), i urge you to check that shit out because its nature doing that awesome thing again. learned more about fungi than i ever thought i would researching for röt
