This is our cat Blue my wife Philippa Baker has wanted me to paint her for ages . We finally got a good reference photo the other day so here she is.

Gorgeous detail, and I really like the reflected light from the back of the kitty, you've handled that very nicely.

Thanks I think that worked out well. I normally get half way through and want to throw it away, but this was one that felt right the whole way through.

I'm glad you did, it's wonderful! I hit that stage a lot halfway thru drawings, I think a lot of other artists do too. Sometimes I just plow thru and it works out, sometimes it gets tossed onto the bonfire.

Thanks. She does like it. She'll go on the wall soon. We've got another tabby cat (Simba), and he'll be next if we can get a good pic.
