Description

     I decided to finally go through with my redesign of Brago, combining elements of a couple of pieces into one monster character. The question I asked myself is this question:
   “What would you get if you combined:
   A Mormon Tarzan (yes, you’re reading that right) with
   Yautja/Predator code of honor
   The physical abilities of Kratos (God of War fame)
   Some wargear lifted straight from Warhammer 40k
   and a love for cute, fluffy animals that would make Fluttershy nod her head with respect
   and then throw him into a universe where every single world—both hospitable and inhospitable—is connected by small openings in reality known as Paths?

   This story still takes heavily from my original idea of “Why are humans apparently all over the damn place in the universe?” The thought I came up with was:
   “Earth and every world humans are found on are worlds specifically designed to be prisons.” And then I think I kinda went insane from there.
   The reason for this is because of a system of flexible powers I settled on for this world. A power system that all other races in the universe are very lucky to possess. But humans? Every human, at one time, was born with access to these powers. It isn’t something as grand or flashy as DBZ Hadouken lazers or “lolfuckoff” magic spells. Those are a totally separate thing.
   I wont go into actual detail on what these things are just yet because I’m not certain if anybody else has done this and I wanna capitalize on the bit of inspiration I received while coming up with this. But the closest equivalent I can give is: think of Cleric domains.
   Brago himself is all about incredible strength, survival, and the controlling of beasts and monsters. Yeah, he’s basically a beastmaster/barbarian hybrid.

   Brago goes on adventures around the universe with his wife, Kit. Decided to start their relationship en medias res rather than going through all of the exhausting “will they or wont they” boosh that I hate. And, perhaps more strongly, it’s also because I’m not certain if I can do justice to even a romantic element in a story.
   But yeah, with the tangent aside; I’ve got a few ideas on how I want to handle this story, but for the most part I am happy with one idea. That one is that these two venture from world to world, realm to realm, helping people and solving problems only to discover that the man who raised Brago and liberated Kit’s people was killed. And not just that, but the powers written on his very soul were stolen from him. Something killed their leader and took his powers, and now it is after Brago.

I absolutely adore this piece. The lighting, the shadows, the colors, the dynamic pose. Just... just kudos, ! Kudos.
