Description This is my entry for the Fairy Weald's Gothic Hearts online show in February. I used a picture of myself for the pose. But really only the pose and hair are me. This is the first full size painting I've done in over 3 months. 9x12 watercolor with ink, gouache and metallic gouache accents on 140# coldpress.

*EDIT* Thanks for all the name suggestions!!! I decided to go with a suggestion by ~qmab !!! It fits her!!! Thank you Shelley!!!

*EDIT II* Pose was taken from ~flowerchildstock . This is the image I used. (of course, then again, it's my stock acct. )

The pose was modeled after me. The wings were an inspiration. And I really liked how they turned out...especially since it's a unique angle, ya know?

woah! way to pull off a tricky pose!! There is so much in this piece that shows how fast you're improving and developing as an artist... in particular the texture and depth of her hair and the smoothness of her skin. Her face is gorgeous, but very creepy in expression.....

Hmm... she brings to mind a panther ready to attack, or a snake about to strike.... names... Dark Night Stalker... or Midnight Huntress....
