Finally figured out what I was doing wrong in taking pictures of the moon and got some great shots.The detail! It's amazing!

How are you able to get clear shots of the moon like that? Without low shutter speed? Or using flash? Bluh

I really have no idea. My camera chose the shutter speed, and I made the light balance lower so the moon wouldn't come out like a bright light. And a 18mp camera.
