Except it takes just as long as it used to. Check it, it's only about 3 seconds and it's there only to replace the plain black screen of the previous games. It's used for loading.

it's in my opinion and several other one of the most detailed and well thought out storyline in the pokemon games

detailed is the problem. in the first game, you could skip any gym leader/event that you wanted (until you needed to use HMs). the focus was on pokemon collecting and trading and less on gym badge collection/world saving. also, they didn't thrust legendaries at you. legendaries were hard to find and thus rewarding to capture.
sometimes thinking too much makes the "magic" go away

true, but pokemon is basically about battling gyms and gathering pokemon and even though the gym are not skippable there are many option to do during your journey and i really didnt focus on pokemon in the original game since it was really just the same thing over and over again

I don't understand your point. I think this is because of a typo. would you mind rephrasing it? are you perhaps saying that since the capture/battle part of pokemon is virtually unchanged since game one, the story is now more important as the rest is no longer new and xciting?

all im saying is that yes pokemon is more deiverse in the things to do and even though you got to one gym after the other there are several things you can do other then just go around catch poekmon and battle gym like in the first game

not really. the battle subway is just a wtaered down version of emerald's battle frontier (which I sucked at anyway

but that still more to do than in the first gen also there is the DW, Black city and white forest, the Nimbassa sports dome(which is just battling but still its something to do) and the battle institue and there alot of things in BW2

bw2 is much better than bw, for sure. I was very happy with join avenue, n's pokemon, the medal rally, and even pokestar studios. however, black city and white forest were just catching and battling.
the first gen, as we said before, didn't need more things to do, as catching and battling were new and exciting to the gaming world

not exactly black city and white forest wear area that effect by the going into other entralink and recruiting people to come over to your forest or city so it was like you couldnt do much catching and battling unless you could connect with friend and complete some of the entralink missions

I am not mad that someone doesnt like a gen. I get mad when someone doesnt try it out or make presumption about it begore playing it. So its okay if you only like 1-3 gen but dont rip on other gen without play them. That my motto

I understand why the prompt exists (as you said, for airplanes & hospitals). What I don't understand is why the game attempts to semi-auto load the C-Gear when you boot up the game. To make it more reasonable, the C-Gear should have been made to be activated manually AFTER you boot up your file. Not be semi-automatically activated, thus the aggravating prompts every time you soft reset or turn on your DS system to play these games.

Is it really that big of a deal? It's just 1 extra prompt and you don't have to see it again until later.
Also, people would forget about it if it wasn't there, thus ruining the whole point in the C-Gear.

It's a big deal when you're SR'ing for perfect IV/Nature's/Shinies or accidental legend fainting. It's an even bigger deal when the C-Gear doesn't even support wifi. Unless you have RL friends that live nearby, C-Gear becomes utterly useless and obsolete to the Pokemon Center's 2nd floor.
