Here are my two most recent OCs for my upcoming Balto comic, Bloodlust. Vlad is the main character, as he is the vampire that sets his eyes on Jenna who looks just like his long lost mate, Mia, as seen above. Mia is missing Jenna's bandana, but seen wearing a blue flower. This flower will be important in the story, as Vlad calls it, the Mia flower. Both were born and raised when Nome first formed, making them the first dogs of Nome. Vlad lost his owners at a young age and was forced to live on his own, while Mia's owners lived on.

First Meeting - Mia was wandering around town when she heard someone getting beaten. She rushed to see Vlad get beaten by some of the local dogs. She imeddiately rushed to his side, scaring the dogs away. It was then that both of them laid eyes on each other, setting their journey together in motion. In the next few weeks, Vlad recovered from his wounds and began courting Mia. What happens next changed Vlad forever.

A New Life - The next month was magical for both Vlad and Mia, as they feel head over paws with each other. Vlad, who thought Mia was way out of his league, cherished every moment with her, while Mia, who felt more comfortable around Vlad, decided to start a new life... away from humans. The two became mates and journeyed away from Nome, with the goal of starting their own life together. Six months of happiness, Vlad thought he was King of the World

The End of Happiness - The last month of Vlad and Mia's six month's of happiness, their world came crashing down when they saw the humans from Nome moving in their direction, along with the dogs that tormented Vlad most of his life. Mia promises to protect Vlad from whatever is thrown in their direction, promising that no one will hurt Vlad ever again. Vlad made the same promise to Mia, not willing to let anything take his beloved from him. That came crashing down when one of the humans mistakens Vlad for a wolf. They shot at him, but before it got to Vlad, Mia jumps in front of the bullet, piercing her in the stomach. Vlad quickly takes Mia away, as he tries to stop the bleeding. Mia, who knew her time was coming, told Vlad how much she loves him and that she will never leave him. Below is their actual conversation:

Mia: Vlad... stop... it's too late...
Vlad: No Mia, I'm going to save you!
Mia: You already did my love...

Vlad looks at her with sad eyes, as she laid a paw on the side of his face

Mia: Vlad... I know you're blaming yourself for this... but if I have to... I would do all this again... just to make sure you're safe...
Vlad: You shouldn't have to do that! It's my job to protect you! It's the male's job to protect the female!
Mia: Who said it has to be the male...
Vlad: Mia... you don't understand! I failed... I failed my duty to protect you!
Mia: Enough of the blame game Vlad...

Mia then pulls Vlad into a passionate kiss, both of their hearts fluttering. After a couple of minutes, they both pulled away, as Mia felt her life slipping away.

Mia: Vlad, don't say anything... just listen... upon the first time I saw your face, I knew you were the one for me... I thankful for the moments we did have together... no matter what... I'll always be with you...
Vlad: I love you... Mia!
Mia: I love you too Vlad... forever...

Mia then closed her eyes, as her heart stopped beating. Vlad imeddiately broke down as he felt her body go limp in his arms. Then Vlad did something that forever became a legend in Nome. He saw the blood that came from Mia and used that, putting both their story on a wall (Like the cave drawings), detailing their first meeting, to them falling in love, and their final moment together. After he was finished, he named it the story of Nome's forgotten lovers, before going off and burying Mia somewhere secret. To this day, no one knew where Mia was buried, as Vlad disappeared, never to be seen again, or so they thought...

Many years after Mia's death, their story was passed along Nome, as the story inspired many dogs, even some of the humans who saw the story. One of the many questions, was what happened to Vlad, while many of them not knowing Vlad lives a quiet life underneath Nome, and now a vampire. Losing Mia was the worst thing to happen to him, as he had plans of having as many puppies as he can with her, even wanting to grow old with her... but all that changed because of a human. His new enemy is the humans that resides in Nome, as he considers them responsible for Mia's death, and his decent into darkness.
