Description My version of Orchid from Killer Instinct.


Orchid is by far my favourite KI character, specifically her KI2 version. I have very mixed feelings about KI3 Orchid; there are some aspects I really like, but frankly her outfitΒ reallyΒ isn't one of them. As such my version is much more closely modeled after KI2 Orchid, but I did try to add some details that tie in the new version as well.

Would be nice if they did a variant of this.Β  If they do though, I hope if has more polish then her KI1 outfit.Β  And they need to fix her hair already...Β 

Oh, and uh reeeeeall nice rump there Β  I think a lotta people talk about her teets.Β  But so many neglect the fact that she had a tremendous and wonderful rump.Β

Yes... it's not for nothing that I didn't care much about KI1 Orchid, while I absolutely LOVE KI2 Orchid! Finally she showed off her best side, and it was even better than I could've imagined

This could have been the perfect Orchid, her KI2 suit with some details, but they went backwards in her sexiness, too bad. I hope they release a classic skin pack.

Yeah, I think the new Orchid's face, physique, fighting style etc all look great... but even if her outfit is a decent design in its own right it's absolutely a disappointment after KI2. I'm very anxious to see what her classic costume will look like.

I always disliked Orchids design. I actually never cared for many of the classic designs, but Double Helix has been making designs that cater much more to me personally.

Really digging your shading on the leggings. They read really reflective. Looks good.

I think the new designs are a little bit hit and miss... I think they aren't too bad for the most part, but I'm not a huge fan of how they seemingly attempt to reinvent the wheel and perhaps deviate a little too far from the original designs. In Orchid's case that's precisely it - I don't think her new design is ugly, but it feels like they changed the character so much that I barely recognise the Orchid that I really liked.

Weren't there supposed to be classic costume skins in the game? Have they shown those off, or do those come out at a later date?

There will be classic costumes, but they haven't been shown yet. Presumably they will be out along with Fulgore by March. Needless to say I'm hoping Orchid will get her KI2 costume and not just her KI1 costume (though eventually I hope characters like her and Combo will get both KI1 and KI2 costumes).

What timing, they've released the concept art of the classic costumes. I hope Combo makes it to the game, and Riptor would be nice too. Unless they rehaul Cinder quite a bit, I won't really care if he's left behind. Same for kim Wu, Tusk and Maya. They all kinda bored me.

If they release another 8 characters for 'season 2', I would imagine Combo and Cinder are absolute shoe-ins, as well as at least one of the KI2 characters. I think Tusk is probably the most popular but in the interest of not skewing the gender imbalance too far I think it's likely Kim Wu (and maybe even Maya) will be added as well. They could of course fit every remaining character + bosses in that 8 but that leaves no room for more new characters... well, time will tell I guess

They've said before that they have more new characters in store, but I'm fairly sure we'll get all the oldies too.

It all depends on how long they will keep supporting the game and adding new content. I'm sure they wouldn't deliberately choose to not add anyone, but it remains to be seen if the game has enough longevity in the community to justify them continuing to work on it. Hopefully we'll see everyone eventually!

I'd be more than willing to bet that the announced DLC plan is the entire DLC plan. I don't think it will extend beyond that.
