Another long time without submitting anything... my time are just flying by lately. After the last drawing I posted, I tired some different things that may or may not be updated later, it took me the last half hour just trying to remember what they were/might have been.

One night nearly 3 weeks ago, I all of a sudden became very dissatisfied with what I was doing. Unable to decide what I wanted to do that night due to certain reasons, I finally decided to take on this photo of Zooey Deschanel the next day at work.

I wanted to draw it as soon as I saw it when gathering ideas for the first drawing I did of her over a year ago. Having to draw the entire shot without breaking it up seemed very tough to me at the time, and it still dose, but somehow it was much easier than I thought.

I didn't have much trouble working on it, though I wasn't really focused on her likeness. Looks like she's laying on a mirror in/on top of a pool, certainly not a shot I've seen often of anyone, which is great since that's kind of the major issue I had with the first drawing of Zooey I did.

It took nearly 3 weeks but I really could have cut it to under 2 if I just didn't distract myself. Going to ACL was a great reason, too bad She & Him wasn't there, plus I was a bit sick. As always I tried my best and it looks better than I expected, hope I'll be doing and finishing more drawings soon so submitting something won't feel so weird.
