Description My basic thoughts about the ending of "Super Hero-ld." I mean---Harold votes off Leshawna?! Because Duncan and Courtney tell him too?! Oh, but she was "untrustworthy" because she took a prize or something a dozen episodes ago. Unlike Duncan and Courtney, who have proven themselves really trustworthy in the past.

Done with ridiculous little stick figures and stilted language to emphasize the point. I actually used the webcomic Order of the Stick for a bit of artistic influence.

Hope you enjoy!

Edit 9 October 2010: Apparently, this may need to be downloaded for proper view. I don't know why that seems to happen with horizontal strips these days...

This is the main reason why Trent's TDWT Counterpart is Alejandro.

Sexiness and Sadism are the main reasons why.

If Trent competed in TDWT, he would cause many people's (even Duncan and Courtney) eliminations.

You know, there is also a possibility to pretend that TDA never happend

To be honest, that was one of the most confusing moments ever

Yes, let's pretend the whole series stopped with TDI...makes things much nicer.

Thanks for the !

There's also TDWT. It wasn't that bad, mostly because of songs (even if that was probably ONLY one improvement )

Welcome

TDWT was sort of like TDI and TDA mixed together---the occasional great episode followed by some that made me want to put my foot through the TV.

There weren't any episodes I would completely hate, but moments - yes. Ecspecially CxDxG triangle thingy. Not only stupid and pointless, but I also lost some respect for Gwen. She never was my favourtie character (although I voted for her in TDI finale), but not even trying to apologize or solve it any other way messed her character up more than after break-up with Trent

Actually, there was a moment which broke apart TDWT on two parts - when Noah (my favorite character) left, and Duncan (despised character) came back.

JoeMerl In reply to teneery [2011-03-06 21:19:52 +0000 UTC]

Ugh, yes. Especially since Noah got kicked off right when he promised to get his own subplot and go up against Al-Stu-jandro.

Honestly, though, Duncan ticked me off more than Gwen. She at least felt bad about what happened; he spent the rest of the season acting like it was Courtney's fault in the first place. Apparently she was just supposed to smile and accept what happened without any argument. Bah.

teneery In reply to JoeMerl [2011-03-06 21:33:44 +0000 UTC]

I know, right? Noah-Alejandro conflict had potential, but when Chris announced that Team CIRRRRH lost a London challenge, I just knew that Noah will be kicked off, since he's not one of the "most important" characters like Duncan, Gwen, Heather or Courtney. I was actually a little suprised that this season somehow focused on Cody, since he isn't/wasn't one of the most famous characters.

Meh, Gwen felt bad, that's true. Then again, I also found "alternative ending" for 24th episode, but, suprinsgly, just in polish, in which Courtney start to sing insults about Duncan & Gwen and after Duncan throws a sandal at her, D&G happily share a kiss.

Yeah, I saw that too. It's actually making me wonder what direction to take my current fic in, since it was supposed to make them more sympathetic (by the end, at least)...now part of me wants my displeasure to leak into the story.

teneery In reply to JoeMerl [2011-03-06 21:47:17 +0000 UTC]

Well, if I'd ever write a TD story which would somehow include DxG, I would just pass this topic over and focus on other things, like favorite pairings or friendships (oh yeah, another thing - Duncan had no right to break apart Courtney and Gwen's friendly relations). You'll do what you want and I still will read it for my love for CxC

JoeMerl In reply to teneery [2011-03-06 21:53:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, they definitely get the main focus. Duncan and Gwen won't really get much focus together, just more in how they (individually and as a couple) relate to Cody and Courtney.

This comic reminded me of "James and the Giant Peach" where the parents are eaten by the rhino while getting James' chips and soda; James cried about it. He gets sent to his aunt's house ("Good Morning James! or should I say, You Disgusting Little Beast!") Video: [link]

OMG!! MORE PEOPLE BASHING ON THE WRITING!!
YAY!!!

I lurve this!!
It makes no sense what-so-ever to what happened to every character through out THE WHOLE series of TDA!!! IT WAS JUAT BAD!! (and not bad in a good way... though i dont know anyone who still says 'bad' when they mean 'good'... but if there are people like that... they probably are very VERY out of it and maybe even write for TDA xD - IT'S POSSIBLE).

JoeMerl In reply to QuailCoven [2010-02-07 23:58:30 +0000 UTC]

Yes! I mean, she's the villain, the girlfriend of his worst enemy and has a specific reason to hold a grudge towards him...and he picks her advice to sacrifice Leshawna over a chance to screw over Duncan.

Anyway, thanks for the !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

QuailCoven In reply to JoeMerl [2010-02-08 00:08:55 +0000 UTC]

I totally agree! That part when Harold felt sorry about what he did was a dumb move by the producers even over what they had already done in that episode. Why should the producers say they are making a good story-board when they only try and keep Duncan and Courtney on to make the D+C fans happy? Is it the viewers' show? No, it's theirs! And no fan has the right to whine about D+C if they would get kicked off early because they've had more than enough air-time and "Character developement"!

No problem! You made a good point on this comic!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoeMerl In reply to QuailCoven [2010-02-08 00:22:12 +0000 UTC]

Well, it makes sense that Harold would feel bad for what he did---it was rather nasty for him, but the fact that the series is practically just The Duncan and Courtney Show---and the fact that some hardcore DxC fans won't forgive Harold for what he did---does rather bug me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

QuailCoven In reply to JoeMerl [2010-02-08 00:25:42 +0000 UTC]

same here! And yes, it does make sense that Harold would feel bad after but for 1, Harold shouldn't have even done that and 2, if it was real life, I'm sure LeShawna may hold more of a grudge (well, at least I would)...

henehene [2010-02-07 23:36:11 +0000 UTC]

This is EXACTLY why TDA sucks, because the writers took enough crack to change the characters nearly completely

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

SEGASister In reply to henehene [2011-01-05 20:46:12 +0000 UTC]

Same thing with TDWT

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

henehene In reply to SEGASister [2011-01-05 20:52:16 +0000 UTC]

TDWT occasionally did it,but at least it had redeeming qualities about it,more redeeming qualities than TDA and I guess the writers learned what they did wrong and sort of made up for it.

SEGASister In reply to henehene [2011-01-05 20:52:45 +0000 UTC]

Sort of, yes. but not completely.

Too true. Everybody acted like badly-written fanfiction characters or something. Hopefully TDM will be better...

Anyway, thanks for the !

SEGASister In reply to JoeMerl [2011-01-05 20:47:49 +0000 UTC]

SPEAKING of which, what do you think of TDWT? I hoenstly think THAT season was badly written out as well. (I mean, the FIRST half was OKAY, but since "I See London..." it went downhill. AND THEY GAVE OWEN TOO MUCH SCREEN TIME! (A COUPLE OF BRUISES after he got CRUSHED BY A PLANE?! He should've gotten a body cast!)
