Thanks, if you have carrara, the replicator object is the way to go, this was less than an hour from idea to final render.

Thanks for the tip Joe... I'm using DAZ 4.6... Not sure what Carrara is exactly... or why I would need it though.

Looks cool, man. Did you place the Genesis figures one by one or is there a 'trick' in Carrara to do it quicker?

Thanks,
The trick of this whole experiment is that everything is placed using the replicator objects.
The figures are all just 1 figure replicated 300 times using surface replicator applied to a plane so that they cluster and have a random rotation of 360 degrees.
Then there are 13 building placed in a 100X100 grid, the 3 taller buildings in a 25 X25 grid and 3 mid sized building in a 10 X 10 grid using the replicator object.
It's that simple.

Thanks, I just learned that today in one of the instruction videos of Carrara. It's a great tool to use. I compare it with the ecosystems in Vue. Works very good. I'm now learning more about animations in Carrara, cause that's my goal. I know it will be a real pain to make decent animations, but I will certainly try. And of course I will purchase the Octane version for Carrara. Amazing renderengine.
Your experiments are great and very inspiring. Keep up the good work!Β

Ah, good to hear that. I just purchased the Octane plugin. And I know what you mean. Making images is fun to do and a lot less work than animationsΒ Β I'm excited to jump in Carrara! Looks like an awesome and pretty complete program.
