I love this pose, it is deceptively simple, the foreshortenings nearly drove me crazy. I used it [link] and I hope you'll like it.

I keep reading these comments about how "dirty" and "disgusting" and "unnatural" nudity is in recent days. When I look at a beautiful photo such as this, I wonder how others can possess such a mindset.
The tones are so soothing to the eye; they're gentle, and soft - and there is just enough shadow, if not a bit too much. The reflection of light on skin helps to direct the viewer's attention to finer details of the piece. The light on your chest guides one's eyes to the concavities made by your ribcage. The illumination on your knee manouevres the gaze to the mild sweep of hair on your thigh. In my opinion, the hair does not diminish the beauty of the skin.
The body and muscles look so relaxed, and I love it. The curves are what first drew me to the photo: the pectoralis major, gluteus maximus, and the biceps brachii.
The smaller details, like the curves of your lips and jaw are also very lovely. I could keep going on, and on, analyzing your shot - but I'm certain I've gone on long enough. You did a wonderful job composing this piece, and I'm afraid my comment was a bit more in depth than I first was planning. I saw this picture, and the first word that came to mind was, "poetic".

Wow, all of this from "poetic", I'm impressed! I greatly appreciate your in depth thoughts. I've heard the shadow a "bit too much" thought before, but I try. I don't really claim to know that much about what I'm doing, really, I just keep trying....
If you read this entire thread (and no, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it), you will find some of the comments of "dirty" and "gross" and the like right here in it. They are very much in the minority, and I didn't and don't intend to even grace them with a response. I think the reality is you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. I try very hard, and above all else try to send a message of innocence and artistry in the human form - even the male form - even my own. But, try, though I do, and hope beyond hope as I do, that those who look will truly be able to see and see what you have described here in eloquent detail, some simply can or will not. It is sad to me, but I can only do as good as I can do, and I certainly realize my own limitations.
I guess you inspired to write a longer reply also . Thanks very much for the kind and detailed thoughts. I very much appreciate them and your perspective and your taking the time to express them.

I understand how people could like this but I find it...umm..to be quite blunt. I think its gross.. the male body leaves alot to be desired..

That is not constructive at all - comments are for critique - not personal preference announcements. Please consider this and read the etiquette policy on commenting to DD features.
