Evangeline "Eva" Sorrin ("life";"lively") – is a fifteen y/o countess from Kobalion-town in eastern land of Ariden; a nature/earth mage and the main heroine.
Eva is an extremely lively, high-spirited and genuine person who has a fiery temper and untiring soul of a wanderer: disliking staying at one place for too long, she values her freedom more than anything. Eva is an utterly sincere and compassionate girl with strong sense of righteousness, that often makes her a bit stubborn and headstrong in the eyes of others. Bearing mainly extravertic streaks in her personality, Eva enjoys socializing and overall being around people. True to her young age, she appears as a wide-eyed idealist with naïvety and romanticism entwining her. She is loud with her words and exalted ideas of world's happiness and peace and likes dreaming of rebuilding the world according to her high ideals; although a hopeless romantic and major castle-builder, Eva proves to be an intelligent and ingenious person, who spiritually finds solution to every problem she faces. She completely charms everyone with her genuine humanity, dedication, tolerance and desire to help anyone in need. Eva is equally kind and caring to every person no matter the race, age or character, and people are attracted to her like fireflies to the light, – the girl listens attentively to everyone and never turns her back on the unfortunate and miserable ones, acting tenderly and almost motherly towards people and all living creatures. Although Eva has got a lot of acquaintances, she keeps a very limited circle of close and trusty friends, as she loves experiencing everything new, people included: long-lasting friendly connections are not typical to her, and she usually prefers to see new companions beside her, explore new characters and people rather than frequently keep in touch with old friends. That is one of Eva’s distinctive traits: her dislike of artistic and physical limitations and love of freedom is what she's willing to give everything up to, to the point of sacrificing or ignoring other people’s feelings. Eva constantly feels desire to live at life’s fullest, which means to her experiencing most various emotions, following her dreams and aspiring to world’s peace and progression. It’s impossible to change her attitude – in order to completely feel herself happy, Eva craves a life saturated with events, journeys and new faces. She builds up her relationship with surrounding people on the principles of equality, lack of pressure and mutual disengagement. She faces her own constant need of easiness and freedom in absolutely everything she does: once she finds herself restrained in a cage, albeit golden, all her thoughts and strenght are aimed at finding an ultimate release. Eva is a well-known fighter against all sorts of authority and traditions. She bears a strong belief that life is too volatile for any certain point of view to dominate. She got used to boldly state her own opinions and feelings without embarrasment or doubt, but, curiously enough, doesn't take offense whenever someone disagrees with her, being understanding and reconciable. As much as Eva likes to occasionaly debate and incite people, and her viewpoints are often emphatic and forward, she tries to keep the mood at ease and can't stand any hostility but, facing one, doesn't betray her ideals. She possesses an ability to keenly feel moral state of others and their secret desires, to have a soothing and conciliatory impact on them; she has got a strong sense of morality and honesty and prefers truth and sincerity over falsity even despite social standarts.
Eva's characteristic won't be full without mentioning her negative sides, mainly bold arrogance and unseemly occasional lazyness. It is observed by many that Eva often aspires to liberate herself from any kinds of obligation and responsibilty, while her desire of freedom stimulates losing friends and close ones. Eventually once getting said freedom, the stirring girl evidently starts to develop self-destructive tendencies and becomes visibly harder to control or admonish. Fear of commitment makes her afraid of being tied down and taken away from liberty for once. Strict raising made Eva anxious over fully trusting people around (especially relatives) and doing trivial everyday things like doing chores or cleaning, doubting in her own self-worth and competence. This way she gains massive issues with self-reflection and properly analysing own behaviour. She may act loftily and overly-confident with things she doesn't have a slightest understanding at just to prove herself capable of doing them; once real action has to be put in, the girl defers making a decision and fakes off, believing she's far too superior and wise to do something "not worthwhile". Overall, all that lays carefully hidden under her more pleasant and winsome image - a naturally corky, debonair girl with great reserve of gentleness, amiability and responsive intuition that keeps her ever watchful of false people and ill-willers.

- being a true nature mage, Eva understands animals’ behavior and senses all the changes in surrounding areas: she is able to feel plants’ and trees’ pain when they are crushed, vibrations of earth's surface and hears natural sounds that are insensible to most people;
- she is a vegetarian;
- as much as she loves animals, she also enjoys spending time with children; it helps that most kids like her in return, as Eva's head is always full of fun and original activities and games;
- Eva always carries her scepter made of oak branch and a glowing crystal. Young nature mage uses it to block her opponent’s attacks or to strengthen her own in battles. She cherishes it as her most precious thing and never lets anyone use it, – she’d grow enraged if anyone would actually take it from her without asking or, Soleo forbid, steal;
- Eva is afraid of the dark and doesn’t like staying alone at night, fearing of what may hide in its complete blackness: she seeks for light and sunshine wherever she goes and adores warmth. Her fear of night additionally brings out claustrophobia – the fear of enclosed space, as she clings to freedom and vastness;
- though Eva is well-meaning and is always ready to help anyone, she is not the best to do house chores or any practical work: growing up in rich family, where she had servants and nannies, she hasn’t used to cleaning, washing up or doing laundry by herself. She is clumsy and inapprehensive when it comes to housework but tries her best to please anyone. Also, loving a good meal, she is a bad cook herself;
- she is extremely good at dancing and singing, having numerous music teachers in childhood; some of other Eva's hobbies include gardening, horse riding and animals' nurture.
