Description The three PCs from the most fun DnD campaign I've played. After me and my 3 best mates all got hooked with Sid Meyer's Pirates (the remake) and decided to play a pirate campaign, without magic and shit.
From left to right:
"Once again" Carlos of Saragossa (full name Louis Garcia Aranda Madeira Pereira Mendoza Skolioza Blanco Borelioza Gonzalez Felipe Simao Lopez Marquez Carlos O'Jesus Maria Cervantes Benito Jose Diego Manuel Salvador Ajuya once again Carlos Fernando Mercutio Juan Pablo of Saragossa), lawful evil paladin of Jesus Christ, greedy, violent and particulary unlucky with rolls to hit. The first mate of Qreck's Revenge (sloop of war), later appointed captain of Aquamarine December (sloop), but when that ship was lost (totally not his fault!) he returned to the role of the first mate on The Wooden Contruction That Floats And Shoots (frigate). Played by me.

John Rackham, chaotic neutral 10str, 16dex warrior, master fencer, charismatic scoundrel, captain of Qreck's Revenge and later of The Wooden Contruction That Floats And Shoots. Based around the infamous Jack Sparrow, except Rackham was out to screw every (living and sometimes even slightly rotten) girl he met. Played by KunDun, who, as usual, was the most focused on role playing of us three.

Bjorn (the Deboarder) - chaotic neutral barbarian, of 24str and 6AC fame, the faithful crew of Qreck's Revenge and later of The Wooden Contruction That Floats And Shoots. Despite carring a cleaver, he never fought another man with anything but his fists. And maybe sometimes he also threw some cannonballs... His fighting style and 12con meant he came out of every battle with grave wounds, usualy shouting 'is that all you've got?!' when being almost moratlly wounded. Played by

I've tried to draw those three may times, but I think this is the first when I managed to get them to look like they were supposed to.

tl;dr three DnD PCs from a pirate campaign.

Have you read any of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels? The Discworld's greatest inventor, Leonard of Quirm, has no imagination whatsoever for naming his various inventions, and if he would invent a battleship, he'd call it just like that

Is DnD as much fun as it sounds? Is it hard to get into?

First off, the system is easy to learn (even more so if you've played a DnD-based cRPG before, like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale - though those were based on the old A(dvanced)DnD - or Neverwinter Nights - based on 3rd edition, which we played), the mechanics are simple enough and you can even simplyfi them even more by homebrew rules (ie. playing without the equipment weight limits, or without the need for food).
But the fun depends on one thing: the people you play with. One asshole can ruin the game for the whole group. If you have a decent GM, and play with some good friends there are tremendous amounts of fun to be had.

Well, I played the Baldur's Gate videogame once, but aside from that I don't have much experience with these kinds of RPGs. I'd love to get into it though! I know some great people, and it would probably be a lot of fun if I managed to get them together and all that. I know a few assholes who could easily ruin a game though.

Nice artwork btw! Always awesome to see new original characters.

Well, for me the optimal gaming group consists of the GM and 3 players. If you can get 3 of your good mates interested enough, then why don't give it a shot? If everyone enjoys other's company, you'll have hell of a fun. For starters you'd need 3 books: the player's handbook, dungeonmaster's guide and the monster manual. I dunno how much will that set you off, but it shouldn't be a problem if the whole group will contribute. Everyone should catch a glimpse of what's in the player's handbook, the GM should also browse through the DM's guide and monster manual, it'll make his job easier. Reading the whole books might seem a daunting task, bot you don't have to do that, during the first few sessions you'll be still browsing them for rules anyway - it'll slow down the game a bit, but you should get the hang of it soon enough.
If you have the time, mates and some cash, I'd say go ahead.

Awesome. I might do it. I live far from my mates however, but I've heard a lot about people playing DnD together over the interwebs? Would be a great solution for those times I can't catch a bus or something.

I always played live, so I can't really help you with that. You'll need at least some online dice rolling device and skype or something for fluent communication. Good luck with that bold endavour, mate!

I read it, it was lulsy.
Id like too do an rp sometime, was this is IRL or on a forum?
Id say forum but you're all Polish

IRL, we're all from the same city. I never played on a forum, though that might be a little easier, 'cause you don't have to improvise on the spot - you have some time to reply. On the other hand, the communication between players is greatly obstructed - the best dialogues and in-game jokes are always spontaneous, so it could reduce the fun factor a bit.

Envyyyyy!!!! I want to play a table gdr too!! ;___;

They all look great, I love the designs and the details! My favorite is John Rackham.

If I were to play a pirate character, I'd be a pirate lady with A LOT of parrots. It'd be like my character gimmick.

Ha, I'd like to see that! If every parrot would know a different set of cursewords, that would provide a good show
