New photograph I shot today with new model, Jason Sun. This was only his third shoot, and I believe he has a lot of potential. The concept was definitely inspired by True Detective, though I confess I've loved the 'agent' aesthetic since Law & Order. I'd love some comments and feedback on this, as it's quite new stylistically and subject related.

It's a great shot, no doubt, but for a critique, I think maybe you could've played with shadows/lighting more for that gritty detective feel. And something about his posture--is he slouching, perhaps?--gives him less presence than he should have.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series

Definitely. I've purchased some grids yesterday for use on upcoming shoots, because my current lighting setup lacks the ability to use harsh light. I was actually going for the more 'weathered' kind of feel, inspired by True Detective.
