His final design! I made him look like a snowy owl like I said I would. As I was coloring some more concept art for him, I started to add in tiger markings, and then threw in design concepts from polar bears. :>

Physical
Hiami is physically based mainly on polar bears and snowy owls. His skin is black and his fur is white. His has an insulating undercoat and a water guard overcoat. Soft tissue such as the gums are pink.
Hiami is a Borea Kyzen, a subspecies of the Common Kyzen. Borea are adapted to colder climates, so he is covered in fur instead of scales. He has dual-type wings, with both feathers and membrane. The feathers are mostly for insulating the wings and keeping snow off of them. When his wings are folded, the membrane is completely covered by the long primaries. His paws are completely covered with long fur.
The horn on the right side was snapped off, showing the blue inside. There are small rings on the inside that indicate that the horn is growing back. He also has two scars on the left side of his face that pass through the semi-external nasolacrimal duct and his lips.
Each paw has only 3 digits, with one on each front paw being a thumb. The wings has 5 digits and the thumb and index finger of the wing (which both have a little bit of webbing in between) are functional and can grasp objects. However, the last finger cannot be used to grasp objects as it is connected to the alula .
Eyes are crystalline; no pupils.

Personality
When Hiami was a fledgling, he was often picked on by others and as a result, become aggressive to the other dragons. He often picked fights. He once instigated a fight with a larger Kyzen, who snapped his horn and scratched his face, leaving the scars.
He is jumpy and introverted, and doesn't know his own limits.
