I hate it when people have bad grammar in writing... It drives me crazy! I'm not even an adult!

Somewhere, this has worked. Think about that for a moment.

You say to the person who uses "rudimentary" in everyday conversation. Still trying to figure out how to use qualm. Or queue, since no one in the US knows what it means.

Oh please no....as someone who had to struggle their whole life trying to spell and read right due to my langue disorder and other problems and I still have problems with my grammar, I feel this is an insult to other people like me who had this fight, now the younger ...wait looks at date of image, dangit it it's my generation! sigh why is my generation so bad >.<

this is nothing against people who have difficulty with language, it's more about people who choose to write like that on purpose

Sorry, I guess I sort of overreacted, I know language changes over time, and it's part of the process, but the idea of language changing to the simpleness of a text message just riled me inside....it's also silly of me to tell those kinds of people to learn to read and write while I still have problems with it.

Yeah. I prefer to use normal writing rather than testing anyway, sometimes text is a bit too puzzling.

yes you can certainly lose your meaning using text talk XD

Yeah, tell me about it! I have to look up the text on the internet to find out what it means.

(I'm on a commenting spree, don't mind me.)
It's becoming a bigger problem in, of all places, elementary school. Why, back in my day, all you had to worry about was figuring out which sixth graders were gangbangers so you knew who to stay away from! [/endoldladyrant]

yeah, now fourth graders don't even respect their 6th graders! The shame!

When I come to power, kids will learn the difference between "you're" and "your" lest they face some sort of crack guerilla unit of cane-wielding psychopaths!
As for text speak, well, the less said the better (some of us write our texts out properly!).

Ahh, it bugs me to no end sometimes. Especially when I get someone faving half my gallery suddenly or I notice the same person faving multiple deviations over time and they never say anything or respond when I say "thanks for the plusfavlol."

kitfox-crimson In reply to MMan222 [2009-03-03 09:19:33 +0000 UTC]
yeah, I don't see why a person like that even bothers...surely their fave hoard would be too big to look back at anyway...

Yeah, I try not to fave too much for that reason. Not that I don't like people's stuff, but if I faved everything I like, I'd have a gigantic collection on my hands. xD
