The Winter BluesCaptured on New Years Day of this year in Rocky Mountain National Park, I was lucky enough to not only have the whole park basically to myself, but was greeted with some of the best light I had ever seen there....absolute tranqulity....and serene as you can imagine. It was cold, granted, but that didn't stop me from shooting, and in doing so I was awarded with the sounds of Coyotes howling....the color in nature was astounding, the palette looked like something off a fine artist's canvas. There is VERY little done in the way of postwork here, a couple dust spots on my sensor cloned out, sharpening, slight curves, is really about all. I figured this image maybe some of you could use, knowing how hot it can get in July.....hope it cools ya all off some!

This is breathtaking. I love that even though there is a huge distance between that rock in the stream in the foreground and the mountains in the back they are united by the powdering of snow on everything in the frame. And, just wow, to the colors
