I've kept her under wraps for the most part, but Dakkan has indeed earned himself a Female Friend over the years. Her name is Slipstream, and I've decided that they are adorable.Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I'm hoping there's some good candy on sale tomorrow.

I love it. They are oh-so cute. Her face looks so feminine and young (I wish we could achieve that for the armadillo...we're getting close!)

We'll most likely see more of Slipstream now and again, yes. She's made sketchbook appearances for a few years now, but I've never really made her public. It just seemed so appropriate to do on V-Day.
I think part of the best way to pull off the girl armadillo is by contrast to the guy, though she should have some femininity all her own. I know we simplified them that way for the storyboards, for visual clarity: [link]
