PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE COMMENTINGIf you all haven't read my most recent journal, thats okay, ill be explaining it here.
You should all know by now how much i love the band 30 Seconds to Mars and how much they mean to me. They're practically all over my front page and if you haven't noticed yet..well..i don't know what to tell you.
For all Echelon, - the followers and family of the band - This week is Night of the Hunter Week. Its pretty much when we all 'spread the word', so to speak. "We must all come together and support it by sharing our excitement and belief." It's an extremely special song to the members of the band, so we all do our best to think of creative ways to support them. So then we all send our stuff to the band and they choose some that really stuck out to them or ones they really like for prizes and whatnot c: (Pretty amazing prizes if you ask me)

So i don't think i did EXACTLY what was the main idea of this week, i'm not really "advertising" the band....like you could put up posters and stuff in your town or do street art or something cool like that. I just drew something haha. But i guess i'm sort of spreading the word on DeviantArt?
Or at least to my watchers lol. But i spent so much time on this, and surprisingly to me, i really like how it came out. i mean, theres alot of stuff i would change, but all in all, i really like it.Main tiger drawn 100% by me, as well as the hand-written lyrics on, and flowing off the tiger. I don't really know why i chose i tiger really.. It's on their most recent album, This is War, and "Night of the Hunter" and a tiger seemed to go well with it. A "Mars" tiger it is now C: I had the concept in my head a while now, so this week was the perfect excuse to get it out of my head haha. This may not be the final version, thats why i opened critiques, so please, i would really love some feedback from you guys
But i need it by Friday so i can send it in on time!When i'm finally finished editing this, ill send it to the guys! Oh my gosh this is so exciting
.. Trust me, im not expecting to win anything.. thats not the reason i did this.. but its still so awesome that i get to show them! -cracks knuckles- Alright, here I go. First critique in ages.
Now what first drew me to this piece was the WIP you first posted with just the tiger, and I originally loved how you drew, colored, and designed this piece. The tiger itself is very beautifully drawn, which is no surprise coming from a great artist like you. What I think really added to the design is the black... well I don't want to say shadows, but 'lines' that come from the tiger. I think it made a real impact on the tiger as a whole, and I like the effect that you made where it wasn't dark around the tigers head. It really made it stand out even more against the background.
Just as a side note, I find my eyes being drawn to this tiger in the picture first, because it has most color, detail, and is the brightest in the picture. If it was your intention for us to see the tiger first, then well done.
I really like the idea of the lyrics (i'm guessing lyrics) flowing from the tiger. The only think I would say though is they're hard to read, but in this case, I'm sure that's not the focus of attention in this piece, and thus you laid it out pretty well e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
Now the background. I think this would be an actual poster 30STM would use. Seriously. I think everything in the picture as a whole is very well laid out. I really like that you put the album cover in the background as well as the title of the song, and some of the lyrics on the boundaries of the picture.

You've done it again. Another inspiring piece of artwork. I like the lyrics flowing of the tiger. I love the whole layout of it all.
I like what you did to the paws. And how you just made the eyes glowing white. The mouth is kinda weird-looking, but it looks like it's is going to smile at you. I like how you had the first half of the tiger glowing white, then the other half, black. 30 Seconds To Mars is a great band. All together, a great, amazing, fantastic piece of work. This is awesome! Great job!! Outstanding! I not very good at writing critiques. Sorry.

Now onto more important matters,
This is such an amazingly beautiful piece! The pose and composition is stunning! The tiger looks really photogenic and the words that are coming of it's pelt really add an ethereal quality to the picture! All in all I WILL DAMN SURPRISED IF YOU DON'T WIN ANYTHING.

The tiger the stripes the pose, gorgeous love the glowing eyes and how the orange fits with the black background. The background itself brings the picture to life even more! It looks like it's off of a familiar CD album, or poster. This absolutely stunning! Brilliant.^^
