Poor Sceptile, if he canβt defeat a ground/water type he might as well drown himself in the swamp, if Swampert doesnβt do it first. I think not washing out the colors quite as much as you had been in the other pokemon pictures worked well in this one. The tail might have been a bother, but it looks more like a swamp plant here than in the original one.

well i dont really add the pokemon basics in these pictures. i think my mind was going something like this: raptor vs swampmonster XD
if i could chose in game. id give my sceptile a tail like this. dont really like his game/anime apperance.

yes Sceptile is in big trouble. i bet those "hands" are quite powerfull, also swampert is very durable.
these two where never my fav in ruby/emerald/sapphire but i found em rather fun to draw.
