Description I went on a school trip to Belgium and France during spring break! This was taken in Bruges... here's an excerpt from my diary.
---

Bruges: the town that made everyone's day, and probably many people's trip. This place was amazing. There was beautifully preserved architecture from just about every era - medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical... It didn't matter which way you turned, every corner and every square left you breathless. Oh, and gargoyles everywhere! I made a point of getting lots of gargoyle pictures throughout this trip, because I like them. There were also a ton of chocolatiers who sold their stuff for such great prices. During a guided tour that evening, almost everyone, including myself, crowded one of the stores where they sold boxes of 29 pieces for a mere 10 euros. This was a far cry from the $23 truffle boxes at Godiva back home, which only included five large pieces!

As we toured the place, I kept on regretting not having brought my zoom lens. I left it in the hotel, since I would hardly have time to switch lenses while in a group like this. Turned out we would get to walk around town on our own the next morning. So that time, I geared up with my huge lens and ran off to capture all the detail I could find. I felt like a child enchanted by a fantasy world and would often leave my group of friends unannounced as soon as I saw something interesting. I tried to remain within sight - didn't stop Kamelia from worrying sometimes.

Very nice shot, great composition and being a little bit of a landscape fan myself this falls right into my alley.

Having attachment to an image makes it really personal, and when you are talking very good images it just makes it all so much better.

You are ofc welcome.
