Description
A Class 4 ultrafauna that appeared on the 12th of August, 2024, on the island of Java, Indonesia, emerging from a subterranean cave system that it had been lying dormant in for several millennia. Unused to the unfamiliar environment that it woke up into, it began a panicked rampage in the city of Jakarta.
Kurōrā is a member of the species Fossor admorsus, and at 93 metres long and 18,760 tonnes is quite the sizable creature, although small compared to other Class 4s. It is a burrower by nature, eight limbs moving in sync to shift earth and stone, its large, wedge-shaped head plowing through softer matter. It's no slouch in light combat, either, its back coated in flexible and heat-resistant armour plating, and its broad jaws bearing dagger-like teeth, locking into place each time it slams its jaws shut. It's even capable, in desperate circumstances leaping nearly 200 vertical metres.
It is, however, at a low point in the food chain, destined to fall prey to larger, stronger and faster animals. Even within its own size range, there are creatures that outclass it. Even still, in the world of man, Kurōrā is still a tremendous threat.

Hello, all. I've always wanted to create my own giant monster, and Kurōrā is my first successful attempt at that. I took inspiration from mole rats, dicynodonts, and the concept creature from the original Godzilla Comic-Con teaser when creating him, and I think that it resulted in a unique creature that I can be satisfied by. Please give me your opinions on the creature and the design in the comments below, and I hope that you enjoy!
