Description
Part two of the series portrays Godzilla as he appears in the 1974 film, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. The Showa era has become both famous and infamous for its shift into a campier tone, but it was the later movies in the era that I think best portray what it truly was - an wondrous adventure into a colourful and fantastical world, that blended upbeat tone with a sense of action and adventure. The Mechagodzilla movies best exemplify that, I believe, and so here we are.

I actually drew this before the 1954 picture, doing it on a whim one evening as a way of experimenting with tone. I loved the result enough that it lead to me working on this series in the first place.
