Description
A male Ur-Drun investigates a low-hanging branch of a massive holtzturm tree, where a small bird perches. At nine meters tall, and forty-three tonnes in mass, he's truly an intimidating sight. Despite his size, the Giant displays a ponderous care in his reach towards the fragile creature. At his feet, a human farmer strains to watch the interaction. Occasionally, Ur-Drun from the southmost tribes may wander into human territory. For the most part, they are docile towards the smaller species, and offer temporary services in exchange for the permission to explore the area without trouble; here, the farmer has most likely agreed to lead the Giant through the region. The Ur-Drun, never one to go against his word, will have done much manual labour as payment; ploughing fields, clearing brush, and even frightening off the nastier creatures the farmer and his family may normally be forced to deal with. Soon, he will be on his way, ambling northwards, back to the tribelands.

A bit of art I did for an ongoing project of mine, a fantasy world. This was mainly done to show off the features of my world's most unusual sentient species, the gigantic Ur-Drun. Thought I'd provide a bit of lore to sweeten it up.
