Inked in Illustrator CS6
Colored in Corel Painter 11
OKAY. It's done! My final artwork for 2012. I can't come up with a good title, so anyone have any ideas lemme have 'em!
Anyway, this is another sketch I had inked during my Illustrator CS6 trial WAY back in September, was saving it for when I could make up my mind how to color it. I decided I'd give lineless art another try, only do it much more detailed than before. I actually made light use of UnReadableMind's "Random Little Evelyn" as a reference since drawing glass isn't my forte, but at the same time I wasn't looking to make it "life-like" realistic (yet. in time
). I look at this piece as a skills practice sorta thing to get more experience in lineless coloring. Tell ya the truth, I really like how Benson's crank turned out....ha ha "crank" ha "TURNED" ahahahaaaaa.... oh 50 shades of wrong what I just said 
....For the background, to go with the fanfiction "Asleep in a Blizzard", I chose to have Benson and Evelyn standing in freshly fallen snow AFTER the blizzard to symbolize that the turmoil they both had gone through is finally over
. Then they can have a mocha latte with marshmellows later on and maybe a nice dinner

The first thing that caught my eye here is the contrast between the detail inside Evelyn and the stark, bold lines elsewhere. Maybe there's a little theme there of there always being more to people on the inside than we might first assume... either way it's a very striking look.
The shading is very warm and inviting, perfect for a festive-themed picture like this with plenty of snow. The brightness around the right-hand side of each of their bowls is masterful. Evelyn's beret is brilliantly done as well.
The only *tiny* flaw I see is that the bottom of the scarf looks a little flat and uncertainly covered by snow at the edges, but this is a really, really minor point.
Overall this is superb and very appropriate for the time of year, and a fitting tribute to what I guess is your OTP!

Ah-huh... I knew someone else would notice that scarf...and the snow around it. My uncertainty about covering it just right was dead obvious
