Heya, I'm back!
Introducing a beloved new original character who belongs to both ChicaChapa and I. We've been having too much fun world building / character creating together lately, and this little lady is one of our main peeps!

Lyla (lie-lah) doesn't always wander off on her own, bUt WhEn sHe DoEs, the king and all his officials completely flip out (and probably flip tables), even though in reality she's just going out for some fresh air, or to find her guardian Eraun (not pictured) who also has a bad habit of casually disappearing unannounced. (Together, they'll likely make the king go bald in time >v>) Whenever she subconsciously wanders too far from the palace though, some outsiders may recognize her, and then she's gotta go all ham and mess 'em up so that they don't catch her.
Despite her intensity in battle, Lyla's actually got a really sweet heart and an aptitude for empathizing with people ;v; That big ol' dragon with her is actually a physical manifestation of her heart--both elegant and innocent, yet deadly if provoked

On a side note: I survived my first painting of a dragon! Aha, part of me is so happy that I did it, that I want to design a buttload more dragons now, and the other part never wants to do it again :') I'm so grateful for all that I learned through this piece though ~
Haha, also ... this painting as a whole was initially just going to be a sketch ... then it turned into a character ref sheet ... then finally I was like "ah nah, y'know WHUT--" and just blew it out in a full painting 😂 I have no regrets.
