It totally looks like her. I saw the thumbnail and I'm like "hah it looks kinda like el" and I read the name and it was. Stranger Things looked so average in all the trailers and stuff, was such a wonderful surprise when it turned out to be (in my opinion) the best show on TV right now.
I'm so thankful that it's a netflix series. I wouldn't be able to handle season 2 on a week-by-week basis.

Thanks! It's good to know the drawing isn't too far from the actual thing, haha. And I totally agree! I wasn't expecting it to be so different at first either. I wish there were more (new) shows like it streaming. And again, I agree, haha. I'm currently obsessing over it and I'm sure that my obsession isn't going to be short lasting.

The most important part is capturing the attitude of the character, once you've got that the rest follows suit.
When I finished the series my boyfriend and I sat there for hours tearing it apart, trying to figure out what happens in season two, etc. Why are there cars in the upside down, did they kill the one they injured or is it going to come back for revenge, etc. Right now my current guess is there's going to be a nest in the water treatment plant because of Will. There's so many levels to it. I read somewhere the show writers have a 30 page document about the upside down and the monster.

Oh god, don't get me started on season 2 foretellings. I agree with you on the Will water plant guess. Also, I feel like Will's story with the Upside Down isn't finished and that in season 2, he'll either end up there again or that he transforms into some sort of monster because of the parasite contamination. (The fact that he didn't seem very surprised or scared about coughing up the slug creature and tried to hide that it happened concerns me). I'm also very curious as to where the writers are going for Hopper's story.Β
Wow, really? That makes me even more anxious for season 2.Β

I wasn't sure if the flashes meant that he was connected to it, or more to represent that he's been traumatized for life now and will carry the scars of what came with him for years to come. Maybe he'll flash into the upside down and get a glimpse of El, motivating the boys to try and rescue her. The question then would be if she even needed the rescue. I actually think the parasites might be a different critter entirely to the monsters. Sort of like the facehuggers are different to the xenomorphs, but are part of the same species. Obviously he's been coughing up a few though. I'd say after about the 3rd you'd stop being surprised. I want to know what Hopper knows. An empty box implies someone's taking things out of it, and I feel like he's leaving it for El. Maybe he's working with the shady government people now that he's the expert on all things upside down.
Yeah, netflix always releases the whole series at once because their thing is binge watching. Did the same thing for Daredevil and Arrested Development.
