Description since i haven't posted anything in a long while, i might as well post this [it's not even done yet! and i highly doubt it will ever be done]

it had been a while since i coloured something digitally in a painterly kinda style. so i thought i should revisit the technique with this MamaPopo series sketch i had in my sketch book [jon falling on a patch of ice, haha]
i should have known it would be absolute suicide to try and paint like this without a tablet. i lost interest sometime ago, which is why it's not done...never again will i do this

i do however like the way the colours turned out. they all look so pretty

I really like this art style. Everything has like it's own texture. I especially love what you've done with the hair. on the dude that's slipping. The facial expressions are well done too.

well u know when u use traditional paint like oils, acrylic, watercolour, or gouache u have to use multiple layers of paint to get the colour u want? i took the same principle and applied it to painting in photoshop. so what u see in this piece is lots and lots and LOTS of layers of colour on top of each other. the outlines in ball point sorta mask the layering technique, but the first time i did this was for this piece here [link] for me it's really time consuming becuz i don't have a tablet and i'm a perfectionist
