As someone in the LBGTQ+ community, bisexual, I stand with everyone that is somehow victim of the tragedy. It saddens me to know that in 2016 people still can't tolerate love. BUT I also saw a lot of love, not only from the community but also from allies and that makes me hopeful. Still, it's devastating that it happened. I want our generation to make a change. Show people that love is stronger than hate, that everyone can be safe.

I completely agree with you. I hope the love of our community and our allies can drown out the hate that is still present in this day and age.
Also there's so many of us in HARPG ;-; I had no idea.Β

I'm an ally, and I saw this all over my facebook after it happened. Β My ally and LGBTQ friends were posting about it nonstop, and it broke my heart. Β But it also gave me hope. Β My friends are LGBTQ ministers and youth leaders and wiccans, artists and slam poets and lawyers and doctors. Β Through their work they fight to make this world better, where no one has to hide or be afraid. Β Our generation will make it better - of that I'm certain. Β Love will win.

We can only hope that our generation beats all the hate with love. We're a generation that generally doesn't want to fight, that wants to make a change for the better. We're the ones who are changing traditions that have been around for years for the better, in professions like lawyers and doctors and communities and religions like the Wiccans, Christianity, even young Mormons are standing up for LGBT people.
I can only hope that this support continues into other minorities like people of colour. I'd love a world that was free of hate based purely on who you love or what you look like.

I (being a pansexual) was very saddened and sickened by the tradgey. It was what started my day yesterday, as soon as I came out of my bedroom it was "hey did you hear what happened at the gay club in Orlando?"Β
Just...terrible.

Yeah I didn't hear about it until my partner asked me if I'd seen anything about it. When I found out, my heart sank. It's just horrific, a massive tragedy.

yeah, my little sister started flipping out, and said that we were next (she being bi and all kinda flipped out, though she had every right to, it was very sad). I just hope everyone is getting along fine, to those who it affected.Β

People are so hateful of anything different. To hate love, though, is a real low. It baffles me how anyone can hate anyone else just because of who they love.

I'm in the LGTBQ+ community too as I'm gay and this happening shocked me so much.... I have so much respect for you since you are so active in pride events and such β₯
But I am so happy how outstanding many people are after the shooting, hundreds of people in queues for blood donations, I can't ;_; There will never be enough hate to stop the love and pride...
And your drawing is so beautiful and powerful ;_;β₯β₯β₯β₯
