Description This is #9- "Drive" for my 100-Theme Challenge: [link]

"Submit to me... Let my power from the mask flow into you....
Submit to me... my power... my darkness... your darkness....
Destroy... everything in your way...."

I could've chosen "Dark" or "Drive", but I chose drive since the main point of this pichur was to show the Fierce Deity forcing (or "driving") Young Link into some kinda mad-trance from the mask's power.

Since the game talks about the Fierce Deity mask possibly having some dark power and maybe being evil too, it's like when Link uses this mask he may be at risk of becoming insane/evil or whatnot.

Alrighty, again, this is another one of them Zelda-theories that I love to read.

I might as well put up the Zelda-wiki page so you all can just read it yourselves, instead of seeing me blabber-dabby on~~

Most of the info I'm talking about is at the theories: [link]

My complaints...? Okay, as you can probably see, I messed up on coloring the grays again on Fierce Deity's armor (I don't really have gray markers), so I had to photoshop that again.

And then there be Young Link and Fierce Deity's expressions... They're off a bit again. ( ` ~`);

I've always wanted to try drawing more of Link's outfits, so yesh~ Here's Fierce Deity.
(At least my first attempt...)

Do not steal or use without my permission, please!

Since the border or good and evil is so blurry in Majora's Mask, I came up with a headcannon that describes it and why is it so blurry in the first place.

I'd say Termina is no parallel world at all. In fact, there is no Triforce. The foundation of the world is supported by six deities, dubbed the Guardians of Termina. Once all deities vanished, the world will crumble into the abyss. They're no gods. They're kind of like angels. But where are the Guardians, you may ask, why can't we see them by the time Link came by? Well, you've seen them. Just in different forms. They have all fallen.

Majora, Odowla, Goht, Gyorg, Twinmold and Felkic (which is the name I made up so I don't have to call him the "Fierce Deity" over and over again). They were fallen in the hands of... no one. No particular person. They have fallen because of the Terminian's pride. They think they need no guardian, so they started to make fun of them. The Guardians were supposed to protect the Terminians, but now they make fun of them. Frustration and hatred started to corrupt the deities.

Majora was the first to fall, and she was transformed into a horrifying demon. She threatened everyone about her plan to destroy Termina. The rest of the deities tried to stop her, but they were all corrupted into horrifying demons. Knowing that no one else would stop her in he sumbits himself to darkness as well, with sheer determination, Felkic greatly reduced the corruption on his own body. His body has changed as a result, but that's the last thing he would care.

He started a plan on his own to fix the problem as much as he can. He created vessels for the fallen deities' light to reside in (aside from Majora's which was trapped inside the demon), which would become the four Giants. He composed the Song of Healing, and tasked a young man to unwind the sorrows and evil made thanks to Majora. This young man would eventually become the Happy Mask Salesman, a demi-god who continued to live in order to complete the task given by Felkic. Then with his last attempt, he weakened Majora at the cost of weakening himself too. The Mask Salesman came by and sealed the weakened deities into masks. Before falling into a deep sleep, Felkic requested the Mask Salesman to keep Majora's Mask and the Fierce Deity Mask away from everyone...

Of course, many centuries later this plan was ruined by the curious Skull Kid. Luckily, Link came by and stopped the problem from worsening.

Unlike villians like Ganondorf, Vaati, or Demise, who's only desire is power, Majora's only desire is to make people suffer, turning the skull kid's harmless pranks into cruel jokes.

Since the Fierce Deity Mask grants Link insane powers, and the mask description says its dark powers could surpass Majora's, possibly the reason Majora gave the mask to Link was hoping he would succumb to the mask dark powers, and it would be Link who destroys Termina, and not Majora and the moon, turning into a pretty cruel and sadistic irony.

Aha~ Thanks for the in-depth interpretation of this pic. My whole point for this was just to explain that the mask is forcing Link to succumb in a symbolic way.

My pleasure =3.
There are lots of theories about Majora's and Fierce Deity's origins. In the Majoras's Manga, there's a guy who resembles Link wearing the Fierce Deity Mask, and some people believe his spirit is the one sealed in the Mask, just like when Link uses the song of healing to seal troubled spirits inside Masks.
There's a theory that the interlopers, or Twili, were the ancient tribe who crafted the Majora's Mask, since the big round eyes of the mask resemble the eyes of the Fused Shadows.

Technically... its Eiji Aonuma's fault, since he is the director in charge of the Zelda series.

Doesn't seem like it's working out well for him, you can see the markings coming on him.

Thank you very much! ^v^
You should've seen my first attempt at a friend's house, the tunic looked much like some ruffle-skirt or something. But I think the only thing much more difficult and different about Fierce Deity Link is the armor. o.o

Aww, that's terrible.
But for Ocarina of Time, it's less complicated to play compared to it's sequel, and in my opinion it's an awesome game. My bro and I finished it, and it isn't oh-so tricky.

Oh yeah, fighting Ganondorf is hilarious. Did you know that you can distract him by swinging the fishing rod at him? He'll stare at it for a few seconds, and you can land a few random swings at him if you wanted.

Wow, what a funny coincidence! My lil bro had been insisting me all the time to get Majora's Mask to our Wii by Virtual Console, and at the end I couldn't stand him anymore and downloaded it for him...

I've been theorising Fierce Deity Mask being actually a reincarnation of Majora and it's mask, as they seem to be... somehow related. Poor Lil' Link though. (-i_l-) Termina's quite an unsettling place to behold.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MewKwota In reply to IndyGoNagaretton [2011-07-20 19:06:07 +0000 UTC]

Haha, that is funny~
It is an interesting game though, and scary... Gosh, an apocalypse.

They may seem to have some connection, but probably not in the way of being the same person/reincarnation in my opinion. o.o
Hm yes, when I thought about it, Young Link falling into a tree-hole into Termina is almost like an Alice In Wonderland-type of thing. He is brought to this strange world and is filled with things familiar-but-altered and other insane beings (such as Majora).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

IndyGoNagaretton In reply to MewKwota [2011-07-20 19:11:18 +0000 UTC]

Haha- that's quite a clever comparison. But at the end Termina isn't really that messed up, it's just because how Majora made the place get messed up. (-lvl-)

MewKwota In reply to IndyGoNagaretton [2011-07-20 19:13:56 +0000 UTC]

Mm, true. But just thinking about the insanity that Majora brought did seem similar, no? ( ^ v');
