Description "Sarsaparilla"
12"x12" Acrylic on Canson archival paper. October 17, 2013.
There's something incredibly relaxing about painting shapes and lines -- this is especially true when I'm feeling a bit pressured or stressed.  I painted this a few days ago (before my little city stay) .... when I'm faced with the anticipation of a new environment, I tend to do simpler pieces like this.

I promise there's some bigger and better projects in the works -- I have them done, I just need to find a way to photograph them!

This has movement and magic and mystery and meaning. The color combo is striking and exciting. The boat and the wind lend movement. I am madly in love with this!

Very nice, Moira. I like the simplicity to the piece. I tend to draw a lot when I'm stressed as well. It's a good outlet. The night sky looks incredible as well!

Wow, that's pretty freakin' awesome! I love how you gave the shapes bright colors that demands the attention of the viewer. The swirls at the end is of course my favorite part . Hmm it almost seems to be a different style then the rest of the painting, possibly because of the thick white lines. Nice Van Gogh like sky as well . Are the shapes coming from a pyramid? If so, I find that ironic XD. Shapes coming from a well known shape XD.
